Peaceful Poppy Elements ~ Stampin’ Up!

If you haven’t seen these Peaceful Poppy Elements, check them out HERE or on Page 25 of the new mini catalog! They are such a great item but I think they go unnoticed. All of the Peaceful Poppy Elements are pre-cut, pre-embossed, and pre-printed. All I had to do was punch them out! Here’s a card I made using them….

I started with a Poppy Parade card base measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 (scored at 4 1/4). I stamped the large poppy image from the Painted Poppies stamp set using Poppy Parade ink onto the card base. Since it’s the same color it’s a very subtle effect, but unfortunately it doesn’t really show up that well in this photo. I layered a 3 1/2 square of Poppy Parade designer series paper onto a 3 3/4 square of Old Olive cardstock, then adhered these to the center of the card. I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set onto a 2″ circle of Whisper White using black memento ink. Then I layered the sentiment on a Black circle element and a Black banner element using dimensionals. The bunch of flowers printed on vellum element was added using a couple of mini glue dots. I finished it off with one of the pre-printed Poppies element! Such a quick card with most of the work done for me!
